Contract Dashboard in MatterSuite
A contract dashboard is a visual summary screen that gives you a quick, at-a-glance view of all the contracts in your system. Instead of opening each contract individually to check its status, value, or progress, the dashboard pulls all that information together in one place using charts, graphs, and summary cards.
What is it used for?
A contract dashboard helps you:
Quickly see how many contracts are in each stage (like Draft, Negotiating, or Signing)
Track the total value of contracts across different stages, departments, or against your allocated budget
Look at upcoming renewals and identify your highest-value contracts
Understand which departments or contract types are most active
This is visual of mattersuites contract dashboard with a overview of how many contracts are currently in each stage of the contract lifecycle, along with the total value of contracts in that stage.
- Draft - Shows the number of contracts still in the drafting stage, along with their combined value.
- Negotiating - Shows the number of contracts currently under negotiation, along with their combined value.
- Approval - Shows the number of contracts pending approval, along with their combined value.
- Signing - Shows the number of contracts that are ready for or in the process of signing, along with their combined value.
- Executed - Shows the number of contracts that have been fully executed, along with their combined value.
Top 10 Contracts by Value
This section highlights the ten highest-value contracts in the system, displayed as a bar chart so you can easily compare them at a glance.
Bar Chart - Each bar represents a single contract, with its height showing the contract's value. The taller the bar, the higher the contract's value.
Y-Axis (Left) - Displays the actual contract value in numbers, helping you read the exact scale of each bar.
Y-Axis (Right) - Shows the value as a percentage, giving you a relative sense of how each contract compares to the highest one.
X-Axis - Lists the contract names, so you can identify which contract each bar belongs to.
Nearing Renewals
This section shows a list of contracts that are approaching their renewal or expiry date.
Time Filter Tabs - Switch between This Week, This Month, or Next Month to view contracts nearing renewal within that specific timeframe.
Contract Title - Lists the name of each contract that's approaching renewal, and can be sorted alphabetically using the arrow icon.
Counterparty - Shows the other party involved in each contract, so you know who's affected by the upcoming renewal.
Expiring in Day(s) - Displays how many days are left before the contract expires, helping you prioritize which ones need attention first.
Table Scroll & Navigation - Use the scrollbar or arrow controls to move through the list if there are more contracts than fit on the screen.
Contract Value by Phase
This section shows how the total contract value is distributed across each stage of the contract lifecycle, displayed as a donut chart.
Donut Chart - Each segment represents a contract phase, with its size reflecting the total value of contracts currently in that phase.
Value Labels - Displays the exact total value next to each segment, so you can see the numbers at a glance without hovering.
Legend - Color-coded key at the bottom showing which color corresponds to each phase (Draft, Negotiating, Approval, Signing, Executed).
Top 5 Department
This section shows which departments have the most contracts associated with them, displayed as a horizontal bar chart.
Bar Chart - Each bar represents a department, with its length showing the number of contracts linked to it.
X-Axis - Displays the contract count, helping you read the exact scale of each bar.
Y-Axis - Lists the department names, so you can identify which bar belongs to which department.
Color-coded key at the bottom matching each department name to its corresponding bar.
Top 5 Contract Categories
This section shows the distribution of contracts by category, displayed as a donut chart, so you can quickly see which types of agreements make up most of your contract base.
Donut Chart - Each segment represents a contract category, with its size reflecting the proportion of contracts that fall under it.
Percentage Labels - Displays the exact percentage share for each category, so you can see how contracts are split without extra calculation.
Color-coded key at the bottom showing which color corresponds to each contract category (Non-Disclosure Agreement, Partnership Agreement, Service Agreement, Supply Agreement, License Agreement).
